What do you guys think of band managers? Are they useful?

They can be useful and informative - and good for doing the legwork for you when you might not have the time..

but, of course, this only counts if they don't take most of your earnings and royalties

On the other side of things - doing management things yourself means that you would get more experience with other things and you get to try more than just performance. This experience could become very useful later on down the track...

To be honest I reckon they are just like bad ass rash. These dudes do nothing for the band, in all honesty they're just there for royalties and shit. In my own opinion I reckon like you gotta do shit ureself if you wanna get places particularly in the early stages. I guess if ure band is sucessful enuff they are handy to hook-up gigs and shit....but they still are definately rash-like.
