Too many bands have absolutely blown my mind for different reasons.

Metallica in Welly - 1998. My first trip North to see a band.

Bjork in ChCH - 1996... absolutely stellar

David Bowie's last gig in Welly... *bows* amazing

Deep Purple's last gig in ChCh was mindblowing.

as was the 3 times tool came... and A Perfect Circle.

Corrosion of Conformity supporting Pantera was

sevens suns were amzing for a local band last weekend at indigo.

franz ferdinand put on a good show at BDO 06'



the phoenix foundation at the welly opera house was sweet last year.

APC, and velvet revolver were brilliant. but one new zealand band that always stands out for me is connan and the moccasins (spelt right?) absolute brilliance

Best overseas bands, prolly megadeth in 2001 and Pantera, also metallica in 98.

New Zealand bands, Shakhan were amazing last gig they played in wellington. Damned Age are also good.

Motley Crue - december 3, 2005, Olympic stadium with motorhead... nothing comes remotely close. Voted in top 5 of all best tours in the world in last years polls...

as for Nz shows, Faith No More - both 95 and 97 gigs, and morphine, at the powerstaion in '95 on their 'Yes' tour..

Fantomas too was rad in 2001, as was Bjork in 95...

Even Lifehouse / goo goo dolls was cool in 2002 at the st james...

8 foot sativa at BDO 05

was sitting in the stands and all you could hear was and echo of distortion, it was horrible!

i couldn't wait for it to end!

everyone around was like what the fuck is this shit?

When I saw them there, there were pretty off too - that's coming from a FAN and FRIEND of the band

I can only imagine how cacophonous it must have been for metal n00bs or virgins

Papa Roach supporting RHCP in CHCH.

All this amplified testosterone tUfF gUy nu metal putting out their all and it having NO effect on the bystanders.

NOT what we were there for guys!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't wait for that to end.

Chino from the Deftones @ BDO sounded shiteful.

The Living End However............ coolest band to watch. Got all their stuff - each member is a master of their instrument and they really bring back rock n roll the way not many modern bands have done.

But that happens when you cross the Clash with the Stray Cats with AC/DC - Pure rock fury
