RE: Sailor's interesting facts Posted: Sun Aug 6, 2006 10:51 pm yes, but how did the fundemental elements come to exist? I know some elements have been produced through radioactive decay of other elements, but some are fundemental. |

RE: Sailor's interesting facts Posted: Mon Aug 7, 2006 1:40 am Quote:those life species in the sea, cannot remember what they are called, but they are pretty much micro organisms.before that? no one knows how they got there, devine intervention? So you are telling me that our overly complex perfectly engineered bodies with hundreds of vital organs which function in harmony with each other, 2 different sexes which can only reproduce together with each other, senses like vision, feelings all came from primitive micro organisms under the sea? Sorry, but thats unlikely, even if it did take billions of years. I know it's the most widely accepted theory, but it does not nessessarily mean it's right. After all, some one had to come up with it and develop it and I doubt they would just nail our exact cause of existance like thatand be right about everything. RE: Sailor's interesting facts Posted: Mon Aug 7, 2006 10:28 am Constantly nature and the universe astonishes us with the most unlikely things. Single-cell organisms forming by "chance" is every bit as feasable as "divine intervention" or alien intervention. I, myself, can easily accept that it's something bigger than us and beyond our comprehension... I need no concept of "god" to set me at ease. |

Our brain has something called a limbic system, the center of emotions. It's an upgraded version of the paleopallium, or the primitive brain, which deals with core emotions that enable our survival. The paleopallium is present in all animals that have a brain, and in humans also. So isn't this proof that we evolved from lesser mammals? If we were designed by god or whoever, wouldn't we be given a complete makeover, instead of carting around primitive organs like the paleopallium, wisdom teeth (from when we had our big ape jaws and our teeth would fall out by the age of eighteen) and the appendix (which, by the way, is left over from our CAVEMAN/APE days when we used to eat grass and leaves, roots etc.)? RE: Sailor's interesting facts Posted: Tue Aug 8, 2006 5:53 pm species can change and evolvle, through mutation and evolution. In the future humans will not have five toes, but four, as the smallest toe has already started to curve under, as we do not need it. just like our tails have shrunk because we do not need them to balance. it all makes perfect sense. Quote:Sorry, but thats unlikely, even if it did take billions of years.on what basis do you believe the evolution theory is incorrect? and what do you believe happened in truth? |

RE: Sailor's interesting facts Posted: Thu Aug 10, 2006 12:59 pm If he was real he'd be a sadist, who wouldn't with that much power. I'd be giving paedophiles electric shocks left right and center, everytime I saw someone spit on the ground I'd send the spit flying back into their mouth, spitting is a disgusting habit. I'd make drugs magically disappear and then the druggies to follow. I'd have a group of male servants that included johnny depp (he'd have to be dressed as captain jack sparrow as a rule), spike from buffy (in character) the gardner from desperate housewives, and they'd feed me grapes and rub my feet and fan me with giant feathers...okay I'm getting a little carried away here... |

One interesting fact is that Jesus' teachings also involved the concept of reincarnation... something they just HAD to keep quiet... I mean, how can you keep all them sheep in line if you can't scare them into thinking they'll fry in hell if they're bad on Earth |
