guitar r bass (opinions wanted) Posted: Tue Aug 1, 2006 2:08 pm Hi, For school subjects next year I am doing music but am not sure whether to do bass or guitar. I have done bass for a few months though. I have really small hands, which oviously makes it harder to play, so which of the 2 would be easier with small hands?? |

RE: guitar r bass (opinions wanted) Posted: Tue Aug 1, 2006 2:15 pm i'd say guitar...bass is farily simple....you've just got you main notes...e,f,g,a,b,c,d, and so one....then you've got sharps and minors....where as guitar you can make a million diff chord, your demented's, majors and what ever else....plus you've got more strings to work with and shit like that so once you've learnt something you feel super proud dunno if that all makes sense hehe |

RE: guitar r bass (opinions wanted) Posted: Tue Aug 1, 2006 4:44 pm Huh? Since when was bass "Simple"? I play guitar and Bass and found Bass is harder. What with all the Slapping, Thumbrakes, Harmonic Plucking etc. Guitar is WAY easier. Bass is only simple if your just going to play along to a gat. Funk & Jazz however...Very difficult to get used to. |

RE: guitar r bass (opinions wanted) Posted: Tue Aug 1, 2006 4:58 pm No one instrument is "easier" than another... to compare the two is pointless, and if people are gonna stand up and go "no no no I play *insert instrument here* and it's way harder".... they're just being precious about their instrument LEARN 'EM ALL! (but not at once, unless you have heaps of time on your hands!) |

RE: guitar r bass (opinions wanted) Posted: Tue Aug 1, 2006 6:45 pm just like anything, bass is only as hard as you make it. If you think it's easy to play well, have a look at the bass player from The Who. (won bass player of the Millennium.) he will blow your mind. |
