Hey this is a message out there to all high school shore musicians! The Shore Youth Bands Comp is coming up in October and entries opened yesterday! Either talk to your music teachers or visit the website....

Record label, Antenna Records provide the Shore Youth Bands Competition 2003 with 3 days recording for the winning band, recorded by the Mr Dave Rhodes of Stylus as well as the legend behind the mixing of the blindspott album.

Congratulations to Culprit Restraint and ATM for winning the first heats of the shore bands competition. Both bands will have the chance to compete in the finals on Saturday 25 October at the Albany Hall. $7 at the door. Next heat, Friday 17 October at the North Harbour Netball Complex. $4 at the door.

The final line up for the Shore Bands Competition FINALS is:

Status, Microfiction, Emma Treadgold, ATM, Culprit Restraint with guest bands Stardrunk and Indicator Dogs.

The finals will be held at the Albany Hall, Albany Highway. $7 at the door, all ages... doors open 7.30pm

Congratulation to all bands who entered this years competition!

Sounds great, im going alone with my girl... she's gunna look after me. I dont like crowds but High school bands hav sum awesum talent and i would'nt wanna miss that .. or my girl heheh. Ill be there!

Cool. Look forward to stardrunk and indicator dogs. They're not high schoool bands but I would class them probably two of the best New Zealand bands.

Yeah it sux that seversia didn't get through... but on the plus side, the bands that did get through are pretty good.

I missed the thing at takapuna but man i cant wait to see them this time. Im traveling over from West auckland to see them and its always good to know that it will be worth my while!

That was awesum .. better than i expected. Im just annoyed i didnt bring sum money to buy Star drunk cd my gf got one given to her free . Andrew ... you where certainly busy .. saw your running left right an centre. Loved the whole thing ... tho not much of a jumpy person i was nearly tempted by the Indicator dogs and Micro Fiction.

Freakin awesum!

I'm pleased we managed to fill the venue up. It was probably one of the best venue we'd had... but I was a little scared that it would be too big for us before hand.

Everything I think seemed to go well though. The crowd got in to the music, the bands were awesome... I dunno what else to say? It looked like everyone had a cool time.
