on channel 3 news a few moments ago they announced that tool had told them that they will be headlining BDO 07. best news of the year.

I certainly hope that's not the only NZ show.

If they don't come down south I'll be gutted, as they always have in the past. And while I enjoy the big day out - the vibe is never quite the same as seeing your favourite band by themselves at a smaller venue... and for longer than 45 minutes too.

Yes, here's my thoughts. Keep emo bands out of the BDO. MCR can get fucked IMO

I'll believe that Tool will be headlining when it is absolutely official.

easier than I thought.

There is always a heavy style band in the line up that is about 5pm. Like mudvayne this year and slipknot the last.

Tool would HAVE to be on towards the end, if not the headliner... 45 minutes of Tool just won't do, and I doubt they'd play such a short set... only the headliner gets the "full set" slot don't they?

I do like old school hiphop and underground hiphop, this accounts out of date I made it when I was an igorant 14 year old.

We will see if they are headlining in the interveiw they're showing on 3 news tomorrow night. I bet they will be, Tool MUST play a fullset or it just isn't tool now is it?

Chili Peppers and Muse are apparently 'officially' playing BDO. Then again I saw the TV3 News report (interview tonight) and The Chillis have booked some Aussie dates for next April. Can't see them playing BDO and then returning so soon somehow.

unfortunately not everyone shares this love of the band. they would be great live though!

I bet MCR would be crap live, I could imagine his voice sucking hardout. but who knows, I hope they prove me wrong!

Yeah not everybody's cup o tea... either way though, you gotta admit, 45 minutes of Tool would be a waste... I mean, "Third Eye" alone would eat a quarter of the slot.

I've decided there must be at least four bands I REALLY like to make it worth flying up.
