RE: Great article on NZ Idol Posted: Tue Sep 5, 2006 11:25 am I remember watching the very first series of NZ Idol, mainly out of curiosity, just to see if it was going to work. Well it kind of did... it generated a huge amount of media hype, it drew in the viewers, it probably sold a few albums. I guess the producers probably felt they'd made their mark with the Idol franchise. However, fast forward to Series 3. All I'm seeing, in the little of it that I have watched, is utter crap. Gone are the shiny sets, the interesting judges and the variety of performers. Instead we're left with a stage that looks shabby, a bunch of judges that find talking about their eyebrows more entertaining than actually "judging" and a group of young performers that simply lack any sense of originality and don't have a clue. But then, did anyone really expect anything more? I mean, really... |

Haha!! Quote:As for the outspoken judges, they should know from all those auditions, that sheer desperation is never pretty to watch.HAAAAA!!! |

RE: Great article on NZ Idol Posted: Fri Sep 8, 2006 1:56 pm Heh, god that show has really gone to the crapper. Infact it wasn't even really out of the crapper from day dot. It was mearly perching precariously on the pubic hair attiared dunny seat. Good on the record label for getting out of its contract, 2 of the top ten judged worse songs on sideswipe a lil while ago were ben lumis and Micheal Murphy. i pitty the fools! |
