Submissions are now being taken for the next KWS Posted: Fri Sep 8, 2006 5:32 pm Kings Arms- Monday 23rd of October 2006 + Brewers Bar- Saturday 18th of November 2006 INFO: The Kaleidoscope World Series is an event where you experience a sample of eight to ten bands in one night doing short twenty minute showcase sets. It's all about exposure, expanding bands audiences and broadening punters experiences of what's happening in the "live" music scene. This is an ideal opportunity to discover new talent in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. I intend to mix it up, cross-pollinating the genres, get not just crowds mixing, but also bands talking to each other.Upon entry, each patron will receive a sampler cd of all the artists appearing on the night. The only stipulation I have besides each artist providing a song for the sampler cd is that once you've played one, you become ineligiable to play another in that particular town for at least twelve months. If and when I run out of bands, may determine me changing this policy, but in the meantime this is the rule.. This event will be supported by an advertising campain on radio and print. It will also appear in all the gig guides and be promoted by a major poster run.PA, lighting, security, soundman, backline and liase staff will all be provided. CD samplers will be available at the Kaleidoscope World Series, this website, selected stores or the respective artists. If you are a performer and wish to participate in this event please contact me to book.
