Cradle of Filth = entry level "extreme" metal... had one good album in 1994 then it just got really gay.

Slipknot.... mall metal... a few good tracks, lots of filler - highly derivitave of other bands (riff-wise)

Trivium... more paint-by-numbers, ball-less kiddie metal.

No offence intended towards fans of those acts.... that's just my less friendly description of the aforementioned bands.

True, true... like 98% of the american metalcore & "new wave of american heavy metal" bands.... the new "nu" metal. Shite that will come and go. Pass the beer nuts.
