sit down with a cup of coffee n smoke and think and think and think and if you play guitar, jus jam out some chords and the lyrics might flow my man

Write down all your thoughts and then you'll be able to start putting it all together

It's best to try to write the lyrics when you're totally relaxed and not stressing out over something else... and definitely don't try to write them when you have a song in your mind or else you'll end up with the same tune as that song...

You might find it also helps if you come up with the title first, it'll give you something to work with especially if the title gets repeated throughout the chorus

lyric writing shouldn't be a chore, when playing guitar, hum what you want it to sound like, and then put words to that afterwards. the way it sounds is equally as important as what it says.
