I stayed in an apartment in Melbourne city for 2 weeks when I was 18, it's a beautiful city, so clean and attractive. Even the water felt silky smooth when I had a shower.

All I remember about the water in Melborne was it smelt of chemicals. One of the people I was with broke out in a rash after every shower.

Stayed at a flash hotel on Collins St though, about $450 a night worth

Dude you've got to get to Metal Mayhem records on Flinders Rd in the city centre, it's awesome. Cool brick building chokka block full of metal.

Good to see you made it safely off the plane.

Although they say your more likely to get hurt driving to the airport than you are from the plane itself.

Melbourne has some of the best urban design in the world.

melbournes pretty cool, but personally i rekn brisbane/gold coast and adelaide are the best cities in aus

yea mate, stumbled across that place on my 2nd day here. Scored a mint job doin construction at the mo, wiked money and heaps of physical work and get t osee LOTS of hot chicks walking past the site hehe :$

Good stuff on the job bro. A friend of mine just did the same thing - strolled on into a sweet job with better $$$ than you could imagine getting here as a starting rate. Considering joining the brain-drain/labour-drain myself.

only thing that sucks is you need a ticket(lisence) to work almost anywhere here but i mean come on, forking out $100 for something that's gonna get you $1,500 a week, not a bad call innit.

Went to the oldest theme park in aussie today, Luna Park, wow haha their roller coaster is made of uhh 4 by 2 hehe

Nothing... I was just copying every other Kiwi who jumps on the Aussie-hating band wagon.

I don't have a problem with them at all... except maybe the accent in some regions.

Haha true. I lived there for a while. And the only thing that annoyed me was the adults who would say stuff when they found out I was a kiwi. The people my age were all sweet (a few sheep jokes aside), but some of the adults were just such losers!

i don't mind the aussies ay, one thing i've found SO different here is when you go clubbing, everyone's honestly out for a good time and they're real friendly and just kool ya kno? Where as in NZ almost every 2nd guy would wanna try step you out, tsk tsk
