There's NOTHING worse than being on stage, sweating your guts out and screaming your tits off, but can't get your breath because of SMOKE.

Or getting ciggy burns on your arm from being in the pit.

If I had a club, it would be VERY exclusive, and there'd be no 440ml bourbon and colas, no shitty premixes, no Auckland brewed beer, and lots of decent food available. Oh, and the pool tables would always work.

Wrong. Mosh pits are for you to let loose and immerse yourself in the music with like-minded people, and a chance to release some pressure. Respect for you peers still applies.

I thought not burning your friends was a nice thing to do.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Instead of headbanging, putting my arm around my mates shoulder and going "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh yeah awesome" I should be knocking girls to the ground and elbowing people int he face?

heaps of ppl go to the valve on the fridays and sats. Its a good sized bar with a decent PA. Well suited to low-down, dirty rock, punk and metal.

We usually get a decent turnout when we play there. If your into cardigan indie music (or places to sit down) it probably isnt the best bar for that tho'

Yeah man they were fucking disgusting. And the door doesn't close.

The worst I played was at Oddysey in Timaru *barfs* Pig-ugly strippers, and smelly rusted urinals... the actual toilet was sitting next to a hole in the ground where the plumbing used to be. The funny part is there's a big poster about hygene and washing your hands!!!! I think I caught syphillis just going for a piss.

The next worst would be Refuel at Otago uni... played their during Orientation... fucking gross... once again, no closable door!

Not to sound like a rockstar or anything, but basic sanitation isn't too much to ask for is it???
