Anthony (The Colonel) is a really cool guy... great to tour with. Mad as a tank full of hungry snakes.

He made our first video for us cheap, filming us on tour.

That was nuts that one.

Oh mate I was so disappointed with that production.

Not a reflection on Sam Sheppard, but none of us really knew what we were going for, it was a learning experience that's for sure (stressful too, limited time).

We use Peavey 5150 head's, me a Series2, Tim a Series1. Beautiful together. Well, when they were laying down Tim's rhythm tracks (I was at work) the guys at the studio couldn't really harness the sound! I'm not totally sure of the full story but they were just getting screeching basically. Which is weird, because at Nightshift studios when we did the demo's we had ZERO problems!

Anyway, they decided to use a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier.

NEVER change heads like that at the drop of a hat - you get so used to the nuances of your amp, when you change the notes respond differently - the feedback isn't the same, pinch-harmonics come out wrong etc. I don't know what they did with them but they sounded horrible - and mixing and mastering did little to fix it - a process I was also absent during.

It's a shame because I love (most of) the songs still, but don't enjoy the album.

The demo for Broken was KILLER. There's also a version of the demo remixed by some dude called Guy who has done sound for Salmonella Dub and it's amazing. Never saw the light of day as far as public release went. Might see if I can get it uploaded somewhere if I can find a copy.

Cheers for buying it though bro!

Their new recording, "Scars", has much better production. Jackhammer did vocals on that one, but he's GONE already! Enter vocalist 3.
