You could really make this into a big mess they don't want to deal with if you wanted to. Bunch of arseholes.

Even if you DID have such substances - if they considered them self GOOD EDUCATORS they'd provide support and do their best to keep you on the straight and narrow, so to speak, rather than kick you to the kerb outright - without evidence they have no right.

Being booted out of school is going to do more damage to your acedemic potential more than enjoying a puff on good ol maryjane. Hypocrites.

Prohibition is a joke anyway, if they locked up all the stoners, they'd lose some top performing people in all walks of life.

I take it you're over 16? I just ask because there are less "hoops" for the school to jump through once a student is 16.

Still, everything mentioned is heresay from other students - provided we are getting the full story. If everything you've said is true, I'd be getting in touch with the local press.

just the hostel but it makes no acceptions to the matter at hand, i was done wrongly and kicked out of it, i now have to travel to eltham every school morning from hawera (bout 15 mins) and pay $52 a week to catch a bus all the way to new plymouth (bout a full hour) and again in opposite in the afternoon

Ahh ok, because if it was the school, I was going to say that's TV news stuff, not local newspaper!

Schools have a lot of regulations that they need to follow in matters like this. I used to work in a school a while back and got to see first hand all of the work that goes in behind the scenes just to see a student suspended. Tons of paper work and heaps of staff involved. Then there's the board meetings, etc etc.

Hostels are a different story. They have a set of guidelines and regulations, but they generally just cover things like good hygiene, lighting, warm rooms etc. Hostels have their own set of guidelines and rules when dealing with cases like yours.

It totally sucks that you have been treated unfairly. Good luck with the media coverage, hopefully you at least get an apology from the school for this.

Not the best example. The band were never a "drug" band, and the one full-blown drug taker (Syd Barrett) turned out a schizophrenic recluse. So he's not a good pro-drug example

Dimethyltryptamine (DMT)

Though I'm sure there's others like Datura or Salvia that are similarly intense (leaving your body, talking to interdimensional beings etc).

That datura stuff sounds like nasty shit. I don't fancy disappearing for two days only to return home covered in mud with little recollection of the last 48 hours

Just looked on wiki at all those, DMT sounds pretty hardout, but they don't emphasise much on the after effects or consquences of it.

Datura seems really bad though, some pretty bad stories here-

thea a rather strange drug taking some parts of aussie by storm at the moment, round the WA areas, its made from stuff that's in horse tranquilizers and it takes you out of ur body. gotta be fucked to use it IMO
