recording music Posted: Tue Apr 6, 2004 8:01 pm Hey there, Can someone give me some help on getting a decent standard of recording demos. I am in raglan, but will travel to aucks or wellies if the deal sounds good. I have alot of music i want to do basically demos as i want to do soundtracks as well as live music. Also if anyone has any info on who or how to get into doing soundtracks would be fantastic. Cheers for yer time and have fun Rob |

RE: recording music Posted: Mon Jun 28, 2004 2:03 pm I guess it's a bit late replying to this now, but have you already made some recordings and so are you only looking to get mastering done, or do you need both recordings plus the mastering done? I'm situated in Hamilton and own a home recording and mastering studio, and if it's, say, only guitar music you're wishing to record than you're welcome to contact me about a recording/mastering deal. Unfortunately I don't have any high quality condensor mics or the such, but the mic I do have is very much suited to entry level home recording, and would certainly be the better choice for miking a guitar amp anyway (if that's what you're looking to do). I do have a top-of-the line recording interface and mastering processors though, so all these combined would certainly give your demos a polished finish. |

RE: recording music Posted: Mon Jun 28, 2004 4:46 pm sounds great! I have already done a few, but because i have done all the playing instruments and song writing, the mixing side was crappy. But i want to re-record songs with at least a second opion, or just another set of ears. Also i am lacking in gears at this stage now, but am slowly getting it all back together. Have had a great response from people that have heard the music, so yea, always keen if the deal is good!. Cheers Rob |

RE: recording music Posted: Mon Jun 28, 2004 9:26 pm Well, if you'd like me to do some mixing and mastering for any recordings you've already done, I'd be more than happy to do so. And being just a student without any "commercial" experience (though I have been producing for 7 and mastering for nearly 3 years now), I certainly wouldn't charge a lot for it either. I'll add your MSN contact and see if we can work something out. EDIT: Is your MSN the address the one written in the MSN part of your profile followed by @hotmail.com, or your actual email address? |
