Stars In Their Eyes is coming to New Zealand!

Would you like to be part of this great show? Can you sing and look like your favourite star? If you're a complete amateur, keen on the Karaoke or a professional singer, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for contestants aged 18+ to appear on this TV ONE primetime entertainment extravaganza.

You'll be given coaching on voice technique, timing, style, choreography and stage presence - everything it takes to become your Star!

Register to be part of this great competition and you could be named best in the land.

To enter, fill in the form HERE , taking care to write in all the fields, then print it off and send the completed application with a copy of your performance on DVD or VHS before February 1 2008 to:

Yup. I always tune in for the first couple of episodes of NZ Idol. Couldn't care less about the rest of the season.

Yeah they're essential viewing at my place!

Oh man there's a plethora of great Idol auditions on youtube... my girlfriend and I lost hours just laughing at people

The calibre of NZ Idol was even lower than usual last time around... I guess most self-respecting musicians are at home writing songs, playing gigs and doing the hard yards.

It's like they'd already scraped through the bottom of the barrel with Idol, so now we're left with the twigs and dirt underneath.

If NZ-On-Air are funding this garbage then they've all but lost my support entirely.

Actually, what's up with this resurrection of Wheel of Fortune??? Between that and Stars in Their Eyes we've got this revival of presenters from when I was a kid... an attempt at grabbing the late 20's-early 30's target market who used to watch Simon Barnett and Jason Gunn on TV when we were twelve years old.

Train wreck material, very terrible but you just can't help looking. The guy that did Neil Diamond the other week was spot on. But who did they give it to that night? Yep, some yarpy tart trying to be Anastasia. The judges are seriously farking retarded. At least the UK version with that creepy Matthew guy presenting it had some decent performers.

Yeah as tacky as the UK version was, there were some good acts on it.

Heh, Matthew Kelly... creeps me out, even though he was 100% cleared of those kiddy fiddling charges. I saw a really interesting interview with him on Parkinson which kinda changed my view of him a bit.
