Disgusting.Oooohhhh, that guy is always playing twisted stuff above the stage. When I played there he had "Holy Mountain" playing... lame arty hippy stuff with naked people and Jesus all through it. SO DEEP MAAAAAAAAAN. Scody ol dump. Mind you, most rock & metal venues are. This message was edited by K.I.N.G on Mon Feb 18, 2008 3:20 pm. |

RE: Thoughts on Wellington. Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 10:13 am Quote:How many times have you been there?Just the once, when I played there. Funny story about that tour... I buggered up the flights... I booked my drummer, lead guitarist and my own flights back to ChCh online, but I mis-quoted the time, PM, not AM... so there we were at Welly airport, hungover and tired at 9am, suddenly realising that we had twelve hours of just sitting and waiting ahead of us! I sweet-talked the lady at the help desk to change my flight to a 10am one for $80, but the other guys had no money, so I bailed and left them I was NOT the most popular band member at that point. |

RE: Thoughts on Wellington. Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 7:49 pm Oooo harsh! That 's pretty funny. Did the others end up waiting the extra 12 hours to get home? |

RE: Thoughts on Wellington. Posted: Mon Feb 25, 2008 11:26 am I like that wellington has hills, there a pain in the ass when your walking round but I think it makes it a bit different and less boring. And its cool that the suburbs of wellington are so completely different and have nearly there own different cultures etc. The hard thing with wellington i think tho is that if your not from here your crap coz most of the best places to go in wellington you would only know by living there, but i spose most places are like that aye |

Timmay & Quentin (guit/drums) had to wait 12 hours, hungover, with no money... I offered them some cash to at least eat but they said no. They coulda killed me then hahahaha. But for all the other organisational stuff-ups over those first few tours, I'm allowed at least one faux-pax I figure. |

I'm from ChCh, which is mostly a flat and boring grid... Wellington is definately more scenic in that respect. Ironically, I think it's a lot greener than the "garden city" too! |

RE: Thoughts on Wellington. Posted: Mon Mar 3, 2008 1:01 pm No, because it's not relevant for me. Blanket man represents one person, not Wellingtonians as a collective which is what I'm trying to convey. |
