So over here in Oz, the whole situation with the Japanese harpooning whales has been sparking outrage.

What are your thoughts on it?

In my honest opinion they should take some friggets and submarines out there and fucken torpedo those cunts. Killing whales for "scientific use?" my fucken ass they are, more like fucken sushi.

they plan on killing 900 whales and what do they have to prove they're for science? A piece of paper the size of a receipt you get from the supermarket

They kill the whales alive because they can gain certain information from them when they are fresh that they would not otherwise be able to obtain, and this may be true, but it seems all so conveiniant that they then have a large amount of whale meat to sell.

i came up with a plan for this a while ago, but the hippies at greenpeace didnt want to do it.

Basically its the whale equivalent of a trojan horse plan. So you put some explosives in a fake sort of hollowed out whale and then when the japanese catch it, it explodes after it is hauled on board their boat sinking the whaling vessel and generally causing carnage. Problem solved. The real whales go on to live happily ever after. Theres your scientific research.

my question is what valuable scientific information they r hoping to get from the whale slauter? information that will benifit humanity? or perhaps benifit the whales?
there is huge international pressure being put on japan to stop this stupidity and i'll bet that it will be outlawed completely in the next 10 years. GOOD RIDDENS!

I find it appauling.

But really it's just another instance of the human race raping and pillaging our natural resources until there's none left.

Baphomet asks a good question, just what scientific info are they looking for? A cure for AIDS or another freaky fish delicacy from Japan?
