A bit quiet at the moment. It moves in fits and starts.

No shortage of gigs... just punter numbers haven't been too flash. I'm not sure why, possibly the phenomena affectionaly known as "Christchurch apathy" that shows up a lot, but I think a lot of it is down to, um, less than comprehensive promotion. Venues keep coming and going REALLY quickly too, that doesn't help.

The general metal attitude isn't very friendly either. If you do more modern, contemporary metal, you're a sellout rockstar to all the death metallers. But if you go in the other direction you're doomed to play to a room of 10 people.

Lots of good Stoner Rock / Doom bands popping up if that's your cup of tea.

Heh, yes. A common link there too, Tim (guitarist, founding member) of Tainted was in Human for some years.

And before I was in Tainted, I was drumming in another band, Wart, who used to gig with Human. And ANOTHER band who was part of that gigging scene (in the 1990's featured Sean, also from Tainted.

We're Very incestuous down here Laughing

There's a whole swag of metal bands down here, I can't even begin to start listing them.

Are you heading down here?

not at this present point of time since i dont have a proper job yet ( Evil chekout chick Evil ) but thats the whole idea, i been to christchurch a few times on holiday (last time being almost a year ago) its got awesome people, awesome places around, mean parks and gardens (yes i appreciate nature) its a main city of new zealand and i alredy hav a few mates living down Hagley Park/Riccarton way originally from Hawera, plus if i wantd to go to wgtn, aucks or woteva for gigs nz is very accesable anyway coz of its small size! Happy .

personally i thnk id love christchurch as a hometown, a family frend who was living there sed he loved it from his perspective..........................................need i explain no more.

Glad you like it dude...

I don't think I'd wanna live anywhere else in NZ (aside from living in the middle of nowhere in NZ).

Plenty of things I don't like about it, but they're the same things you find anywhere. (boy racers, taggers/try-hard gangsta's, etc)

boy racers (up here anyway) i dnt consider that much hassle, maybe a bit loud in central parts but most of em are generally frendly, and most of them usually hav a bakroad for racing sumwhere anyway so theyre all gud.

taggers shuld be takn to a lecture on why they are nothing but scum and then forced to clean up the whole mess.

try hard gangsters are just a bunch of black cunts that only fite in groups to thnk theyre "all that" so wot should happen there is they should be laughed at thn kikd inda teeth, that aughta put those niggers (and wiggers) in their place! Laughing

etc.....hmmmmm......lets use emos as an example.....................a kik in the teeth should do the trick lol
