AC/DCs latest setlist Posted: Sat Nov 8, 2008 6:45 pm Don't know, but I'm getting a little tired of the same songs repeated over and over on AC/DC tours. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan and have been going to their shows since 1978 but I think they have many songs in their back catalogue worthy of set inclusion and once in a while they have done this, eg: Dog Eat Dog in 1996, Jailbreak in 1991 and Up To My Neck In You in 2001, but I think they need to steer away more from the expected 'greatest hits' and delve a little more into their coffers. 'Downpayment Blues', 'Given The Dog A Bone', 'Touch Too Much', 'Let's Get It Up', 'Guns For Hire', 'She's Got Balls', 'Walk All Over You'....the end is listless!!! I mean....great as they are, do we REALLY need 'Dirty Deeds', TNT', 'Shoot To Thrill', 'The Jack', 'Thunderstruck' and 'Whole Lotta Rosie' on every tour? here's the current setlist: Rock n Roll Train Hell Ain't a Bad Place To be Back In Black Big Jack Dirty deeds done dirt cheap Thunderstruck Black Ice The Jack Hells Bells Shoot to thrill War Machine Anything Goes You Shook Me all night long TNT Whole lotta Rosie Let There Be Rock Encore: Highway To Hell For Those About To Rock ...I case my rest..... |

RE: AC/DCs latest setlist Posted: Thu Dec 4, 2008 1:08 am yea fair call rasher... but the last interview I saw here in oz about the tour close to 2 months ago - a similar question came up and the answer was " they enjoy playing these songs - especially the interaction with the crowd - it's like we are playing the song all together" and to be quite honest that is pretty amazing after how many times they must have trashed them out.. again because our radios and tvs have sliced and diced these songs, shouldnt take away from the fact - no matter what pub/party or event and you hear them - they catch you and bring you into the sprit of the song... classics I say. |

RE: AC/DCs latest setlist Posted: Thu Dec 4, 2008 10:14 am At the end of the day, a majority of the people that will be going to see them will be wanting to hear "the big hits". Your average "The Rock" listener, which, let's face it, will be 80% of the crowd - only knows the songs off the radio. You play your lesser-known gems to a massive audience, and the "buzz" drops a few notches. |
