Redtickets just lists the "main" gigs in the tour, not the re-orientation gigs that lifeispunk is talking about.

I've emailed AUSA to find out more...

actually it did show the two reorientation gigs, one in auckland, Im 16 does the R18 actually mean that I cant go I dont know because I've just moved here from england, is it just aguide, it seems ridiculous that Im alowwed to drive here, but I cant go and see bands, is this on most gigs? can someone please tell me what it means!!!!!

OK, official word from AUSA (Auckland University Students Association):

"All main gigs are at Shadows, which is a licensed venue so yes it's R18.
There are other events/gigs in the quad running during the week which are
all ages. The timetable will be on the ausa.auckland.ac.nz website and
orientation.co.nz as of today."

rating gigs at 18 when you could have been driving for 3 years already!

sorry but it seems a tad bizarre!!

i will have to go a searching for an appropriate gig for me and my bro now.

i was talking to al the bassist from eight at rockquest and he thought the auck one was going to be all ages... also emailed them off the eight website (www.eight.co.nz)but no reply yet


its just because of the drinking age. i spose that means that if the drinking age goes up to 20 or whatever then gigs age limit will go up too.... think about that.. are they telling us to get fake id or what? coz thats pretty soon gonna be the only way
