Hi all - I’ve been trying to find information about a song that I haven’t heard for years and years. I thought it was sung by Ray Columbus and The Invaders, but I can’t find any references to the song in their discographies. Wonder if it's because it might now be non-pc...

It was a pop song from either the 60’s or 70’s; as far as I can recall the chorus of the song was based on “Ka Mate Ka Mate”, but I can’t remember any other details of the words or music (it was otherwise all sung in English).

I have the vague memory that it was an angry-sounding song. Searching on Google for “Ka Mate Ka Mate” has only brought up references to the haka (which the song I remember is definitely NOT – the only Maori was the repetition of “Ka Mate Ka Mate” in the chorus).

If anyone has any recollection of this I’d be very keen to find out the title (yes, and lyrics). And then begin the even more ‘needle in a haystack’ task of trying to find it to buy!
