Big Day Out now R15

This is very silly. I was going to take my kids who are big fans of Lily Allen and Dizee Rascal but now I can't, it's just not fair.

Luckily I'm taking them to Glastonbury next year where kids are not only welcome they get in for FREE!

Maybe I should send the child minding bill to BDO now that I'm going on my own!

I've been to heaps of BDO's, and I wouldn't want my kids running around there.

How old are your kids?

Blame the sloppy parents at previous BDO's who didn't supervise their kids properly, not the event promoters.

That's just silly! You gonna say that about Hoyts when they screen an R18 movie you want to see? Or a bar?

Err, not quite the same comparison really. My kids enjoyed BDO this year and were keen to go again so it's quite sad to have to inform them that they can't go.

I suppose after living in England and not having to worry about such matters one tends to get a little riled. Last New Year we really wanted a family trip to Rhythm & Vines, but that's R18, it's a shame when most of the fanbase is under that age.

My fault for moving to a police state!

I think it makes sense.

Last year we saw two (must have been about 10 year olds) getting the stuffing shoved out of them in the boiler room, luckily a group of us helped them out and got them to the first aid, they just werent strong enuff to push their way back out from the middle and what not. No parents in sight. In the girls toilets there would have been an 12 year old holding her mums bag while mum threw up everywhere. Thats good parenting.

It is sad for those that do watch their kids I guess, and we have met some nice parents with some crackup little mohawked rockin children, but its always the way isnt it. some people spoil it for the rest.

No, No!

Must be that.

Or possibly the irresponsible pricks that ruined it for you last time.
