Capital C still have this up on their 'site' with 'New City', 'New Date', does anyone really think anything will become of this?

Doesn't really sound like it does it?
They had pencil bookings for 2009 at a venue but ntohing came of it.
IMHO they dropped the ball & lost momentum by not having another the following year.
They should probably ahve given Wellington a couple of more years & stop the bullshit about nothing being open afterwards being the reason for supposed low ticket sales.
If you're trying to establish a festival you've got to try the same place for a couple of years at least, give bands & fans a place to focus on. Moving it every year seems a bit pointless.

Probably couldn't get any backers for it being the reason for a no show in 2009.

And that would have been hard too, 2009 was chock-full of festivals... and during a recession where sponsors would have been more mindful of where there $$ goes.
