pop idol, american idol, japanese idol, nz idol, australian idol, even a norwegian idol... the list goes. each show half an hour , to 2 hour specials. what is tv coming 2. 2 make it worse they have a new one every year, how much more tv time wasted can we take. all the idol shows are old , dated , and boring.

theyre a waste of tv space, time and money. all the cash that went to them idol shows could be used to sign local bands that are actually good. the idol series is the worst thing that could have ever happened to the music industry

Money Money Money Money. Its obvious these idol shows rake in the dosh which is why idol programmes are held everywhere around the world year in year out. I wonder if these people remember what the programme is really about , anyways, I agree the cash from these idol shows should be used to sign up local bands, to help buy equipment etc, but then what if for example there are people who aint with a local band but still think they have what it takes to be a "star", I guess the idol shows are good for that reason because how else would they be able to be recognised for their singing potential? Its good to see the Rockquest is still going strong, so thats one solution I guess for local bands to show there stuff, ummm gonna have to think about this one for a while longer, but at the moment im about 60% on your side rock and 40% for idol.

Thats actually true but there is a big BUT!! {well not really as in a big ass..but yall know what I mean}........if there were no reality tv shows , american idol {EXCLUDING NEW ZEALAND IDOL} <<<Shocking results from the 1st idol<<hopes and prays not another. Ane way back to my story..if there were no DIY!! crap...then how the hell are people gonna renovate their homes I mean some houses in my town sure needs the whole DIY!1 KIT AND TOOL BOX included.

If we didnt have all the shows that "rockingrammarian"....and some other debators mentioned then how the hell can we call the t.v an actuall TV!?

And another damn thing....can you rock bloody fans stop ranting about

Man im confused....

Yeah i thnk now i get it "Who said?" you said "PooPooPlatter" that a "local band" needs to be rock!

And no PooPooPlatts us non-rock-fans dont enjoy the RockQuest{well i dont any waay!} because....

Most of the winners are ROCK BANDS! and a few years l8a "OH LETS GIVE SOME HIP HOP SINGERS" a turn at winnig.

When did Nesian Mystik win the RockQuest?
And tell me has any hip hop singer/s win the RockQuest of the past few years????{exception Nesian Mystik!!}

Yup Nesian won years ago cant remember when exact. Actually I wouldnt have a clue if any other hip hop singers have won the Rockquest after Nesian, I havent really watched the programme before...

Reality shows and Idol are crap! Pop Idol (for ppl who like pop...not me...) is good but not if they're played EVERY NIGHT on TV. They dont for Rock Quest...
