Venues iin NZ Posted: Fri Nov 26, 2004 10:09 am Hi all. I am from Montreal Canada. I work for a management company called Envision Management - we deal with Amon Tobin, Kid Koala and Lederhosen Lucil. Kid Koala and Ledenhoser Lucil are doinga two week tour of Australia. I am currently booking a tour for Lederhosen (with DJ Jester) in NZ for the second week of Feb. I am wondeirng if you peeps can help me out. I have contatced a bunch of venues. Im solid for Aukland, Wellington and Christchurch. Are there any venues in Dunedin, Hamilton or any other hot spots you could share with me. As an outsider looking in its hard to knwo where all the real good spots are for trhiving music scenes.. sometimes its those small places that arent as well know to us out-of-countryers.... So a city/town, venue name and email would be amazing.... here is her website http://www.lederhosenlucil.com snd Jester is here http://www.filipinofist.com Thank you so much for all the help, Scott. http://www.envision247.com |

RE: Venues iin NZ Posted: Sun Dec 5, 2004 10:50 am You can find the contact information for almost every single live music venue in the country on our gig guide. When you go to the gig guide you can either click on the name of the venue under the gig itself, or click on the venue from the 'top 10' list. For Dunedin I'd reccommend the Arc Cafe, and for Hamilton the best place to go to would be Altitude. If you need anymore info, send me an email. |

RE: Venues iin NZ Posted: Sun Dec 5, 2004 2:22 pm Depends what type of venue you're looking for. I'd agree that Altitude is the best venue in Hamilton. The Meteor is a larger venue (not a pub) and not quite in the hub of the in-crowd, but if your show is for a larger crowd then it might be good. Diggers Back Bar is good too but for a smaller show. |

RE: Venues iin NZ Posted: Mon Dec 6, 2004 2:55 pm When I was in Dunedin ('95) The Crown and The Empire were the places to play - The Empire was a bit small, but The Crown was always cranking. Crown Hotel 179 Rattray St Dunedin 0-3-477 0132 |
