Carrying on from the "Things you don't like to hear in psy" thread and at Torsionjim's suggestion, it might be interesting to see what folk do like to hear.
(I know it's ages after the original thread, but I wasn't going to bother initially. :Wink

Things that float my boat include;

Out of phase sounds and use of panning to give that dislocated feeling,
Warm fat bassline wubbage, (I'm quite happy with 16th note basslines.) (Neutral Motion is a master of this.)
Incessant 4/4 kicks,
Elements of Indian Classical music, (I have no issue with the so called "poaching" of religious and cultural ideas - Goa Trance originated in India after all...) (I love the Necropsycho tune below!!!)
145+ BPM. I like a bit of prog, but there is so much more energy in bouncy, faster-paced music,
The metallic, washy sound, quite prominent in the second half of "Sunny Heart" by Electrypnose - I know nothing about electronic music production, so am at a loss to describe it really...
