Artist, labels, elite and good music.

Hello, so i have been into the psychedelic scene for maybe 4 years now since i turned 18 (message tones).

Anyway, i am constantly on the hunt for some good tunes. I am open to about anything, Dark Psy, Full on, old and new school Goa. Whatever you want to title it i always find good tunes in the sub genre. Recently i tend to lean towards TIP (outsiders, 1200mics) Nano (Tristan, Avalon) and at the moment my favorite label Darcu (digicult). I love the Energy, Driving baselines and ethnic melodies. I believe this style is quite intelligent in its structure with multiple melodic layers and transitions of percussion. Also quite fond of the ambient more chill side, such as, Shpongle, Phutureprimative, Entheogenic style.


However, i understand these are quite 'mainstream' psychedelic acts and i get the feeling people view it as cheese.

Also i want to add, i am Australian, and most events i find are progressive psy. Only local acts play full on. Most events are, Vini Vici, Capital monkey type stuff which i think is cheese. I mean i will dance to it and enjoy my self BUT it wont send me somewhere else like spacetribe or dickster.


So what i want to ask and discuss:

1) Share with me your in your opinion makes a elite tune and what is cheese?

2) Share your intelligent music with me i am open to anything?
