Do You Enjoy 18th Century Wind Music? Posted: Tue Jul 19, 2016 7:07 pm The finest and most well know is perhaps Mozart's serenade No. 10 for winds in B-flat major, K. 361/370a scored for thirteen instruments: twelve winds and string bass. The piece was probably composed in 1781 or 1782 and is often known by the subtitle "Gran Partita". This genre was highly fashionable during the period and wind music formed the center piece of many functions. I love it. I see it as the "jazz" equivalent of Classicism. The harmony and rhythm are generally lively, and the wind only mix, especially the use of clarinets and occasionally horns make this a lovely civilized form of high art. History aside, how highly do you enjoy such? tono de llamada iphone |
