I didn't see anything for this so might try and start something as I have many questions also

Have very recently started collecting Records out of the blue, a few artists I have been following have recently released records to go with their 80's style which I thought was really cool, ended up buying 3 records, one still shipping, thats all good and done, but I had nothing to play them on, I was talking to my parents a bit later and told them I had these records and felt a bit daft as I could only look at them, even though I think they look incredible, they then had a flashback and had a dig in the back room, and dragged out an Aiwa Turntable they had left over from a stereo they bought back in something like 1999, but never used the record player itself so it sat in storage all this time, so I was happy to take it as they were happy to free up some of their clutter haha

Took it home and fired it up

And it appears to be running sweet, it appears to have a pre amp built in, so it covers that, its quieter than anything off the computer though the same speakers, but its not inaudible or especially quiet - am way out of my depth here as to what it should behave like but it sounds Ok to me?

I don't see any actual practical use for it all, aside from it looking cool and badass, and the whole nostalgia thing, but I like it!
