Deja Voodoo have just released a song called P - which will be hitting radio around January.

Lyrics are ..

I smoke P and im alright
stayed up smoking P all night

the song is all about smoking P and smoking Weed.


what are your thoughts on it ..

I'm not going to comment on the whole P/weed/Deja Voodoo issue (basically because muzic.net.nz's official view on this is... errr... no comment).

But I will add that I would like to see what happens if their song "Feelings" ever gets on to radio, or even better if they make a video for it.

If you haven't heard "Feelings" before, head down to your local record store and ask them to play it over the store sound system. You'll get the idea...

I think that they write controversial lyrics because their songs are too weak to stand up on their own. All these guys do is make a mockery of rock music, the state of most of todays music leaves me in despair. What ever happened to this planet and race, nothing's real anymore.

^true...they are a thrash band and arent really all that great, i watched EML and they were interviewing Deja Voodoo on that song...they basically said that they came back from overseas and NZ had this big "P" epidmic, so they decided to write a song about it....i dont really mind because it is a joke....sometimes for these things people need to get over it

BUT knowing about people that have ruined their lives from P and hearing some of the tragic stories maybe this is pushing it a bit too far

coming from someone who has done p, i can say i hate that song. drugs are no joke. might be funny to some people but believe me there is not one thing funny about p.and think of the little kids hearing it who think hey if we smoke p we'll be cool! its a disgusting song even if it is just a joke.

i agree with you anguish, one of my mates committed suicide last year while on P - i do however think that deja voodoo are probably just doing it for the commercial value .. and think that they have balls to release a song like that.

well then if they only release songs for commercial value and so that people will think haha they are cool then i lose any respect i ever did have for them. go talk to people whos lives are so fucked up because of drugs ,even just weed, and you'll agree with me that nothing can justify a song with lyrics like that.
nothing any one says about that song could make me change my stance on it.
