RE: BDO Posted: Sat Jan 22, 2005 2:44 pm I went! It kicked ass! \m/ In my opinion every act i went to see rocked. The Bleeders, Chaganaut, Steriogram (on main stage ), Shihad, Beastie Boys, System of a Down, Chemical Brothers, Grinspoon, Hatebreed, 48may, Deja Voodoo, Concord Dawn, The D4.. but i think my personal favourites were The Hives. Good Day... pity its over |

RE: BDO Posted: Mon Jan 24, 2005 8:51 am It was my first BDO and I thought it was awesome. Chuganaut sure made a fantastic impression for the opening band - some of the others after that seemed a bit lame to me. Apparently it's the biggest crowd they've had at the BDO for the opening band. For me, SOAD were the best on the big stage. I loved Grinspoon, Steriogram, The Bleeders, Hatebreed and Shihad. Powderfinger were a little disappointing and I didn't like the Mint Chicks. The style of the Hives singer reminded me of Mick Jagger! The weather couldn't have been better! The best toilets were under the West side - I never had to queue once! The crowds were friendly! There were some awesome costumes in the crowd, from 'Cat in the Hat' to prison stripes! There were some good stalls selling jewellry and other things. There was a constant queue waiting for the bands' signatures. C4 were giving away Moros! There just isn't enough time to see every band you want to see. Water is expensive! A few people got hurt and bandaged. And Slipknot t-shirts won the day because they were being sold at a discount price outside the arena before the gates opened. All in all it was an awesome day - can't wait for next year. |
