Tsunami Awakening - Kiwi hosted internet collaborative fundraiser Posted: Sat Jan 29, 2005 1:47 pm Tsunami Awakening is a World Vision endorsed fund raising track from Ian Rushton and his international friends. Ian will be donating all proceeds from sales of the track to World Vision. The inspiration for this project came from a poem: "Tsunami Awakening" written by Ted Barrett. This track was created by an international cast of very talented musicians for the sole purpose of raising funds for relief-aid efforts in South-East Asia, after the extensive devastation caused by major earthquakes and subsequent tsunamis on Decemebr 26, 2004. This is one of several international projects being created via the ineternet, all of which have their home here: http://www.tsunamiproject.net/ We would appeal to all those that choose to download this song to dig deep and give generously in support of this cause. Download here for $1.99 http://www.amplifier.co.nz/nzmusic/13827/Tsunami_Awakening.html?full=1 Lead Singers: Lenny "Lee" Ackley (USA), Chris Bailie (NZ) Jet Crawford (HK), Helen Lares (NZ) Choir Singers: Dave Smith (UK), Anna Jenson (NZ), Neil Bonfield (UK), Brad Egan (CAN), Scott Kent (USA), Lenny "Lee" Ackley (USA), Lael Evans (USA), Mark Petruzzi (USA), Mary Gottschalk (CAN) Orchestral Arrangments: Wolfgang Menzel (Germany), Bass Guitar: Nick Redman (UK), Electric Rhythm Guitars: Dave Smith (UK), Lead Guitars: Vaughn Foster (CAN), Scott Kent (USA), Ian Rushton (NZ), Neil Bonfield (UK) Drums: Gordon Smith Baxter (UK), Wolfgang Menzel (GER) Acoustic Guitars: Mark Petruzzi (USA), Scott Kent (USA) Piano & Misc.
