RE: SOUND PROOFING A GARAGE? Posted: Wed Mar 16, 2005 11:03 pm I think matresses filter out the sound, and egg cartons, the sound waves like bend through the curves and gets seperated, becoming quieter . the more the egg cartons the less the sound. I'm not totally sure though, read other peoples posts. Or you could get sound proof walls..but that costs |

RE: SOUND PROOFING A GARAGE? Posted: Fri Mar 18, 2005 5:10 pm basically anythign with lots of small cavities inside. i.e. foam, carpet, etc. becaus the sound waves defract off all the funny angles inside the air bubbles and dissipate. so cardboard, foam (denser=better i THINK) mattresses, bla bla bla. |

RE: SOUND PROOFING A GARAGE? Posted: Fri Mar 18, 2005 11:02 pm i heard pillows work...awh i dunno. But you might get some tips watching School Of Rock, see how the kids soundproof their room heh, or it could be just another excuse to watch a good movie |

RE: SOUND PROOFING A GARAGE? Posted: Mon Mar 21, 2005 4:02 pm If you have a bit of money to spare, you could buy some sound proofed pink bats (they're coloured blue) - that would do the job. Otherwise, anything like blankets, pillows or foam mattresses will quiet things down a bit. |
