No, I'm not speaking from experience, just stating my oppinion. I dont like homos. I have my reasons, most of which I stated in this topic. I can tolerate them, as long as they dont affect other people in any way, but unfortunatly its not the case. They are nothing but a minority, its time they accepted it.

there's nothing wrong with homosexuals. as long as two people love each other, i dont really care who they are or what gender or whatever. they haven't really done anything wrong so its best to leave em alone. its about freedom to do what you want.

Believe it or not, grim_entropy is actually starting to make some sense...despite the majority of his views being very narrow.



You only get affected by something if you let it. It's true that children are extremely impressionable but people most gay couples educate their kids in such a way that they learn to accept that their family is different. I've never heard of or seen any examples of kids turning out screwed purely because of their parents sexual preference. As with anything, people who have "problems" in later life usually have an extensive amount of baggage stemming from a lot of different sources. However it would be interesting for someone to do an unbiased study on this.



Using this rationale I could say that when I'm in a foreign country I should expect to be treated like shit and as a second class citizen purely because of who and what I am...a New Zealander. It's not really much of an arguement dude but that statement goes miles towards telling me exactly what type of person you are. In a nut shell, someone who goes with that really fucked of democratic concept of "majority rules" rather than common sense and empathy.

For all I know you might actually be a nice person, I don't like your views, but being the liberal (and opinionated) person I am I guess I should accept the fact that you're entitled to them. Different strokes for different folks.

As homosexual relationships (civil union) and same-sex parenting would be a relatively new thing, I would imagine that most of the people that are 'fucked up' as you say, now, have been raised by male-female parents or one or the other or no parents at all so saying same sex parents fuck kids up is pretty errr.

I think there are things that would screw a kid over more than the social acceptance of homosexuality. Like a taught non-acceptance of homosexuality. Or religious fundamentalism in ALL it's forms.
A generation of open-minded and tolerant people would be a good thing, however much people like yourself fear any kind of change.

I agree with homosexuals marrying. If they want a civil union to legally recognise their relationship thats fine. But marriage is a religious sacrament which combines a man and a woman. <as written in the bible> so it would go againest the churches beliefs if they allow that sort of union to take place. Its just the churches beliefs and there's not much anyone can do about it so if you don't like it then don't follow the churches teachings.

I think alot of people find it difficult to accept homosexuals because they are different. People are afraid of change. Just because someone is homosexual doesn't mean they want you. They are normal people too, and their sexual orientation has nothing to do with anything except who they go home to at night.
