RE: new Guns N Roses release Posted: Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:22 pm Not holding my breath but I'm curious. The *bits* I've heard are streaks ahead of that Velvet Revolver thing.. "The Leftovers" was a more applicable name Axl's been working with some cool musicians so it could be very interesting. |

RE: new Guns N Roses release Posted: Sun Jun 25, 2006 11:21 pm if another band emerges and gains the level of popularity and obsession like the beatles did, i would honestly be slightly freaked out. |

RE: new Guns N Roses release Posted: Sun Jun 25, 2006 11:53 pm Wouldn't happen these days. There was only beatlemania because they were one of the first to be completely different and take music where it hadn't been. The youth demographic latched on as they could relate to them and it exploded from there. Also because they were slightly rebel. |

RE: new Guns N Roses release Posted: Mon Jun 26, 2006 11:57 am na can't see that happening now days aye. I mean Lennon also started a revolution by discovering feedback. And that's a unique thing in itself. |

RE: new Guns N Roses release Posted: Wed Jun 28, 2006 9:04 am Oh there's plenty of musicians pushing the boundaries... more than most people realise. But nobody lately springs to mind that is inspiring a whole generation to punish their guitars! Hendrix had his moments, I'm not sure he's totally deserving of all the worship (not to take away from his brilliance). Perhaps you have to die to get that sort of status |

RE: new Guns N Roses release Posted: Wed Jun 28, 2006 12:09 pm maybe its the putting his guitar through his amp and then playing it that did it? or maybe its the fact he played his guitar upside down? or maybe its the fact that he said he was gay to get out of the navy just so he could play at woodstock? <shrugs> |
