Anyone like sepultura? Yes. Anyone like their singer Derick Green? No.

Well theres a rumour going around that Max Cavalera (Previous Singer) Is Reuniting With his old band mates to reform sepultura.

I Personally Think That When Max departed sepultura the band went downhill

Well I just got the new one, Dante xxi, and I have to say it's a brilliant album - lots of thrashy riffs, lots of roots/chaos ad era sounding stuff, but with an experimental vibe... and still distinctly sepultura. They've always evolved - I mean look at the difference between their mid 80's stuff do their mid 90's stuff - a different band altogether.

I listen to them as another band now - their post-max stuff got better as they went along and matured as a unit. Roorback was pretty solid.... more "Sepultura" sounding than Soulfly anyway.

I don't know how strong the rumors are, but only 2 months ago Andreas was strongly denying anything, but who knows.

I say they let it all be and move on. Every man and his fucking dog from the late 80's thrash scene is reuniting.

Having said that, I'd definately look forward to any output the classic lineup might release. Would be interesting to see what those elitists that turned their back on them with Chaos AD and Roots reactions.

I would have to agree with you that Dante XXI is a fine album especially their hit song convicted in life.But their modern music can never measure up to their old stuff.

I would be extremly happy to see max comeback.

But if he did go would he still be in soulfly and make sepultura as a side project kinda thing?

While I'm at it - why the fuck bash Derick because of his race... the band are Brazilian for fuck's sake.

Max is one of my hero's from waaaaay back - but Derick is one helluva energetic frontman.

The truth is that Tidsy wouldn't say anything to anyone's face. His language displays the classic traits of a passive aggressive agoraphobic who probably sits at home all day in front of his PC bar the 30 minutes he spends looking out of his bedroom window at 3pm masturbating over primary school kids on their way home.

*Tidsy*...Derick Green will never be as good as Max but just keep in mind that if Derick didn't come to the mic sepultura might have not even had a future after Max Departed.

What I'm trying say is why discrimnate/abuse someone who did the metal scene a great favour, doesn't matter what colour he is man.

Max : Well, at the moment I am touring with SOULFLY and I want to make it very clear that I love SOULFLY . SEPULTURA and SOULFLY are two different things. People don't have to be worried. I'm not going to stop SOULFLY [laughs] even if I do a reunion with SEPULTURA it's two different things. My thing with SOULFLY is on a day to day basis. Every day I am working to make SOULFLY better. If the reunion happens, and I think it will happen, then it will be a great thing for me and the fans. I can't speak for Igor but it looks like next year will be a good year for heavy music.
