Tainted are pleased to announce that Justin "Jackhammer" Niessen has joined the band to take over frontman/vocal duties, with former vocalist Nick King focusing on guitar. Jackhammer hails formally of NZ heavyweights Eight Foot Sativa and has already performed guest vocals on Tainted's debut album, "The Awakening". It is expected his presence on stage and particular vocal style will be well received by many 8 Foot Sativa fans and Tainted fans alike.

Tainted's new lineup will be performing live for the first time on March 9th at the Jetset Lounge, with ChCh death metal legends "Human" celebrating their 15th birthday.

Following this Tainted will play March 16th Hysteria [R18] in Auckland, March 17th Upsett Records ALL AGES 2pm in Hamilton, March 17th Brewers Arms[R18] in the Mount.

Jack popped in for a couple of verses and other parts of "Take the King"... also got him in to scream on "Dislocated", along with Sam Sheppard and the rest of the band... good ol "gang vocals" hahaha.

I always liked jackhammer in 8 foot, a great frontman. Be good to see the new line-up in wellington sometime.

I'm sure there'll be a Windy Welly gig at some point.

Hopefully there'll be nothing happening metal-wise when we next come up - last time it was a busy weekend for metal in wellington and crowds were spread out more with people at other gigs.
