Hammerack reunion???

I heard today through music circles in Christchurch that Nelson/Christchurch Metal legends, Hammerack are looking to reform in 2009.
Anyone confirm this?

Can't confirm the rumour, but that'd be really awesome to have them back again. The Playroom line up was probably the best: Jamie, Murray, Kevin and Mark. They rocked the fuck out every week.

Well it will be interesting. Last I heard Mark was in subtract & Jamie had been in Furious George in Auckland.
Oh well I guess we'll just have to keep our ears open!

Hahahaha, jeeze thats a bit harsh ain't it? Yeah last I heard hes playing with Anthony Su , (guitarist of Brainslide fame), as "Red Sky" doing rock covers.

If the rumor is true, it will be itneresting to see who turns out. Remember Jamie was the only original founder member of the band. Whether or not its Jamie & a new line up or some of the others who knows? I heard it from another band, so I'm working ahrd to find out if there is any truth to it.

Nah I meant it in a friendly/kidding way... he used to do sound for my old band over a decade ago. Got on with him quite well, he was my guitarists' uncle. That was just before he formed Area51... I remember sitting back stage with him going over potential names.

I have it on pretty good authority that Kevin talks about doing this every year just about so don't hold your breath. That's pretty much verbatim from my "source" too btw.

Sorry be away on the road. The SOMEONE , you would assume would be Jamie, the guitarist as he was the only original member of the band left.
I've not seen or heard anymore, so we shall see I guess.

any more talk on this? I've been out of town in the past couple of weeks on & off. Was in Timaru last week & a bloek down there reckoned he'd heard the same thing & wanted to know when they were gigging 'cause he'd come up & see them!

How the fuk are yaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhs lol googled my name and ended up here, fame eludes me still, good thing i remain deluded - aye.

ANYWAY...Hammerack, yes there is an origional album due for 2010 by ... yes....wait for it..... Hammerack
Jamie has finally finished his classical masterpiece, yes thats right classical! He has written a classical piano album under the guidence of Jaz Coleman - Killing Joke, & recently conductor & frist in command of New Zealand Symphony Orchestra!
this too will be recorded & pressed for release in 2010.
Now back to Hammerack, Jamie has a huge cataloge of origional material which is now in the process of being fine tuned, which he has moved back to nelson to do, YES thats right Nelson he has been holed up for just on a year (if you're wondering how you've not seen him then you don't know jamie, when he's working music he's fanactical) perfecting the material befopre passing in on to myself & Kevin Emmett, so far the only two confrimed in the line up.

I will keep you all posted as things heat up, needlesss to say this is Jamie's baby & as you all know it won't be to shabby.
And by the way kevin is not only alive & well but has somehow got younger (something to do with sellin your soul i've been told) check out the duo website for some recent (cheesy)pics,l yes i know DUO??? but we got kids and gotta eat right, besides beats the fuck outta digging ditches, for me anyway.
He also plays in a Rock covers band as well - FALLACY- who are currently tearing up the town most weekends, & seriously he has lost nuthin in the vocal department. keep an eye out as no doubt they will be up to nelson in 2010.
