Check out the rock shop in aucks or for bargains just look in second hand shops.

you can order some thru the rock shop (i take it she means songs with no words that have been recorded by others)
I do it but for guitar, backing tracks etc.

join a hub like DC++ and steall all the instrumentals you could ever hope for. It's called filesharing. Any particulary instrument(al) you have in mind???

I dunno what exactly you mean by "instrumentals", but I have a shitload of my old compositions (full songs, all instruments (guitars, keys, drums, bass etc...), with or without lyrics) lying around not used. Mostly in power metal and black metal genres.
