THE ROCK FACTORY SYLVIA PARK RECORDING STUDIO

Our Rates with Engineer are very reasonable at $40 an hour - making us a great choice for Recording Live for Demos or Pre-production purposes.... Book a Day at The Studio and leave at the end of the Day with several Demos... The average is around 8 to 10 songs in one day, or 4 songs in one evening... however, you can do more! The Spacifix did 32 songs in one day!! Can you beat the record?? We have several rooms with windows facing each other ... so if you want you can be all fairly seperated from each other sonically, but still see each other throught the windows and hear each other through headphones. At the end of the day we can do a quick mixdown of each song, or you can choose to spend abit more time in the mixing process and get even better results.

EPS: $1500 for Three Songs recorded, Mixed and Mastered - includes an evening of pre-production for Free and a week in the studio at times convenient to you.

ALBUM: WOW!!! CURRENT SUPER SPECIAL - Two limited and restricted slots remain on offer for a 4 week, $5000 album deal. The highest commitment and attention to detail has resulted in quality reviews of "This album is epic, a masterpiece that deserves its rightful place as one of NZs best rock releases" and Five Stars in RIP IT UP review for the latest album recorded this summer... the album was recorded, mixed, produced and mastered by The Rock Factory for only $5000! Bands - you get a month in our studio at times that are convenient to you - if it must be after work and late at night, it can be. Parts of the first week can be spent on Rehearsal and Pre-Production in the Studio.

MASTERING for CD Singles, EPs or Albums, only $50 a song. Balance it so it sounds better on many different stereo systems and also make it louder. I can also put ISRC codes, and song information onto your MASTER CD so that it is ready for mass duplication or replication.

DRY HIRE OF THE STUDIO: Are you a band that Records Yourself, or a band that already has an engnieer or an Engineer looking for a place to Record a band? Dry Hire The Rock Factory for $25 an hour. Bring your Fire-wire hardrive and everything else you need to record is Already here!.

LIVE SOUND, PA & LIGHTING HIRE

Take Away Vocal PA with a couple of mikes available for $150, Its $50 extra for a Sub to go with it.


We also have three awesome Concert Sound Systems of different sizes (small to large) that we hire out with Desk, Snake, Monitors, microphones and Sound Engineer for between $400 and $1000 per night. NEED A MIXING ENGINEER TO MIX ALL BANDS AT YOUR SHOW?**
* $150 for the night - Up to Midnight
* $200 for the night if the show goes till 2PM
Engineer will bring FULL BAND MIKE UP KIT (stands, cables and microphones as necessary and will arrive at the venue between 5 and 6pm giving enough time for some sound checks)

EXTRA EQUIPMENT can be hired with engineer as needed - eg MONITORS, FX RACK, ALLEN AND HEATH MIXWIZARD DESK, WIRELESS MIKES, LIGHTS, CONTROLLER PROJECTOR ETC - e-mail us at [email protected] for a quote.... when hiring out an Engineer, Equipment rates may be reduced dependent on the amount of equipment required.

ONE OFFS or WALK-IN JOBS (no sound check, mikes, stands, equipment or cables required - e.g at SHADOWS, OBLIVION, KINGS ARMS) depends on length of set and time required at venue, so ring for Rates... would rather not just have to turn up to mix only one band -however, will make exceptions for bands who have done recordings with us. e.g Michelle mixed Slipping Tongue as the opening act for Coheed and Cambria at the Powerstation, and Mark mixed The Midnight Youth as the opening act for OK GO at the Studio.
