RE: At the Drive-In Posted: Wed Jan 25, 2006 9:16 am yeah man, maybe I should shorten the ad to just vocalist??? btw. Metronome arthritis rocks, the bassline is cool huh. I cant quite figure out what it does in the bridge/pre-verse parts though??? Awesome lead at the end ay. |

RE: At the Drive-In Posted: Fri Mar 10, 2006 1:29 pm sweet, that would be cool to have a listen to. as for the covers band.... do you really want to touch ATDI songs? thats pretty ballsy. There are too many levels of WOW in their songs to try and replicate. but good on ya if ya think ya can pull it off. as for other stuff.... i can sing. if you get stuck for a vocalist - let me know. (i have a lot on my plate at the moment) but i fucken love that style. |

RE: At the Drive-In Posted: Fri Mar 10, 2006 2:07 pm Ballsy.. hehe, fuck yeah man, I know what you mean, theyre very difficult. It took me almost 3 months to figure omars parts on one armed scissor alone, after looking at all the bullshit tabbing on the internet I just did it myself. We (guitarists) spent an awful lotta time learning atdi songs. You could say we obsessed over them for the better part of two years, and I guess thats why we came to the point of 'Hey, why dont we try get it together with a band' but as you mentioned its a ballsy move, the great thing about it is the fact their live performance was always differant, musically I mean, so I guess we could get away with that live. I'll keep you in mind if thats cool, maybe in a month or so I could get a hold of you if your keen? Im busy as hell at the moment, sorting out a house in town and finishing up some contract design work, once thats out of the way I can concentrate more on the music. We're actually semi looking for a vocalist for our originals band too so hopefully... my number is in these posts at the top, text me to give me yours for future if you want. checkin out 'shaky hands' tonight in hamilton. Love those atonal licks yep yep! R.i.p. ATDI |
