Wellington: Bizarre Music to be Made?

Hi guys,

I've just moved to Wellington from the UK and I'm looking to start a band. Not any band you see, but a not necessarily very good band. In fact, it'd be great if it was downright bizarre. I can sing and play bass guitar - well, I can just about sing and play bass guitar. I'm looking for similarly incompetent musicians so that we can have a bit of a laugh and make some music that's truly unique.

My favourite bands include such eminent non-entities as the Longpigs and Mo*ho*bish*o*pi. Bands that you may have heard of that I like include At the Drive In and Blur. I'm thinking though, that I'd like to make some music which is a cross between Pulp and Lonnie Donegan. And yes, I am being serious.

Anyway, if that's of any interest, and you live in Wellington, then get in touch. Also, if you have your own washboard that you'd be willing to use in a Skiffle-rock group, then let me know!
