(Not Just Any) Bass Player Urgently Required For Upcoming International Tour Posted: Sun Feb 16, 2003 12:27 pm The Dogs On Prozac are a three piece all original band based in Rotorua / Mount Maunganui that plan to embark on an indefinite tour of the United Kingdom in June. With the tragic death of the previous bassist and founding member of the band, the remaining members of the Dogs On Prozac are hoping to find someone with the same desire, drive and commitment to making the band a success. They describe their sound as Super Sonic Psychedelic Bruce Lee Rock N Roll with the emphasis being on making songs that aren’t boring and are definitely unique. The successful applicant will: *Be a talented musician who enjoys and is capable of comfortably playing allsorts of genres, from dub to metal. *Be a ‘showman’ who is comfortable performing live with heaps of stage ‘presence’. *Be willing and able to dedicate a good proportion of their time to the band. *Be able to practice in Rotorua / Mount Maunganui several times a week. *Have, or be able to secure finance for the tour. *Have, or be able to secure a British or other type of passport. *Have a great sense of humour. *Have a ‘can do’ attitude. *Be able to provide backing vocal support *Want to be in a band that is committed to ‘making it’ on the world stage. The band will not just be ‘going on a tour,’ rather they are extremely serious about furthering their careers and the future of the band, with the ultimate aim of the tour being to emulate the overseas success of the D4 and the Datsuns.
