Singer/Songwriter Seeking Band or Bass/Drum

I am a singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist – in approximate order of ability. My passion is primarily to sing and play songs that I write. I need collaborative accompaniment – probably bass and drum, but open other instruments.

I am in my 40’s and my music is influenced by classic rock, e.g., Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Queen, Kate Bush, and by filmmakers, including Stanley Kubrick, Coen Brothers, David Lynch. I am most drawn to surrealism regardless of medium. I’ve been writing songs since I was a teenager so have plenty of material to work with, but I need help with arrangements as well as accompaniment.

My goal is to find interesting venues where the music would fit. This would probably not include many pubs, but rather, non-traditional venues. Finally, I am interested in combining various art forms and producing mixed-media performances, such as storytelling with projected imagery and live music.

As a busy professional, time is extremely precious. I am budgeting to rehearse one or two nights each week and perform once each week.
