I have a phenomanly talented friend who is a singer but needs musicians to make music with. She lives in Auckland and is soul,blues,funk jazz orientated but would do well with most genres

hi there...

just in case you didn't get my text, i'm after a female vocalist into scats, humming (well, wordless, singing, tah tah etc), spoken words... i'm working on a project that involves me (live keyboards - piano) & a DJ (samples beats, minimal scratching / atmo), multitracker (for bass)... the style is stripped down jazzy grooves of piano chord progressions with chilled out hip hop beats... i call the style "a soundtrack for a French romance"... if that makes any sense!!

it's an 1.5 hour live package aimed for lounge bars, & also to corporate functions & resorts/hotels classy live music...

let me know if your friend is interest, or you can pass me her e-mail/contacts...

That sounds awsome, I love music that is of its own catogory. I gave her your details and times your free ect, did she get back to you?
Do you do live gigs aswell id be keen to check out what you do even if you dont end up making music together. hey... thanks a lot, i'll actually give you a call tomorrow to get more details, no i haven't heard from her yet... apprently she was busy this weekend, i don't blame her, the weather was amazing!!

i'm rehearsing now in Auckland with a DJ on a whole live package of "TRIP HOP INTERPRETATION OF THE DOORS MUSIC"... i'm also working on this other stripped down jazzy grooves with the same DJ... music is finished on that one too... & female vocals just seems to be perfect for my tunes...

i'm a signed producer & remixer by EMI (that's EMI in Dubai, i've already released 3 albums with them)... i haven't done that much music in NZ...

cool!! you're an experienced photographer? that's great... i'm actually doing Masters in Arts at AUT, specialisig in Graphics & film... have you got an online gallery?
