Vocalist looking for band

Howdy.

My name's Brook, I'm a guy looking for a band to jam with in the Auckland area, closer to the city the better. I'd like to get going as soon as possible and play some gigs. I'm a pretty damn good vocalist, and I'm good at writing lyrics. I'm not in the least bit stage shy, although I'm a little new at the band thing. I've yet to play live with a band, the couple I've had so far didn't have the motivation to get out there. I'm a kareoke whore in the meantimes, (I have to perform live SOMEWHERE or I'd go mad). I'm a little bit of a nutjob, and I love rock, although not really a fan of heavy metal. My main influences would be bands like Guns n Roses, RHCP, Incubus, Porcupine Tree, that sort of music. However, I'm a fan of bands like Linkin park, Our Lady Peace, and anything that gets people dancing. I've always loved to perform just to see the audience go wild. I like tunes that have a good melody, while I'm not afraid to go nuts once in a while, (love System of a Down), I tend towards the softer stuff most of the time.

I'm not looking for a heavy metal band, that's just not my style. Heck, I even like acoustic music sometimes. Oh, and a new band would be better, just because I'm really into my lyrics, and it drives me insane when I sing established originals with bad lyrics. I absolutely itch to rewrite them, and it's generally not cool to mess with a band's established stuff, I know how it feels to have someone mess with your tunes, my songs are my babies too.

hey dude watzap we're a recently form band compose of guitarist basist and drummer atm drummer just recently jam wid us and now wer on the hunt for da ryt vocals we wana get back giging as soon as possible we just lef our band(bassist and me) and we just finish our last gig last april we lef our band due to the vocalist being not commited and just keep holding the band down so me n ma mte decided to form a band from scratch atm we got some original riff written and ive got some lyrics tat i wrote but im open if the vocalist will reconstruct or even change the whole thing, im 24 and drumer and bassist are 19, we're into rock punk and some emo but not to emo tho
