Songwriter Wanted

I am a solo musician ¡V guitar and vocals and am currently playing on the covers gig circuit around Wellington. On average I play 3 times a week and these gigs include bars, cafes, and private functions as well as support gigs for other local bands (e.g. I just opened for Pearl in Napier over the weekend).

A number of the venues I play are open to me playing a percentage of original music and I do play some of my own tunes. However my song writing skills are not the best, hence I am looking for a songwriter who would like their songs not only performed live but also exposed to a wider audience. There is also a very small amount of money available for doing this.

In no way will I claim to have penned the tunes but what I hope to gain for myself is a better profile as a performer/musician. So many other popular artists have songwriters so why not me! ļ

Long term I would be looking at working with the person to record and promote etc. Obviously an agreement/contract would need to be sorted.
