CHRISTCHURCH FUNK/GRUNGE BAND (SUB ROSA) LOOKING FOR SOLID VOCALIST Posted: Thu Mar 25, 2010 5:35 pm howdy we're currently a three piece band (all in our early 20's) based in riccarton. we've been together for a little over 6 months and have a fair few gigs under our belt but really wanna step up our sound and find a solid frontman, we are currently on the look out for a solid grungey raw sounding vocalist with decent range to fill in the final piece to our line up. preferably in your early 20's (o:. between us we have a pretty diverse range of influences but i think the bands that would best describe the sounds we are going for as a band are as follows: alice in chains, arctic monkeys, bloc party, the stone roses, james brown, hendrix, queens of the stone age, the pixis, nirvana, johnny cash, them crooked vultures just off the top of my head ,but anything ranging from blues, grunge, funk, classic rock to drum and bass so were looking for someone open to all genres of music we have a tonne of originals and are currently in the process of finishing the final touches to our 7 track ep. we practice every other night or when everyone is free, were all an easy going group of lads so don't hesitate to get in touch if you wana give it a crack or just wana come for a jam see how things work. you can get in touch with us at [email protected] or hit me up on my mobile 0277285102 at any time. you can also check out a few video clips of us jaming out some originals at practice in the link below to give you an idea of the type of stuff we play. http://www.youtube.com/user/sicock86 (audio quality doesn't do the clips justice but you'll get the idea) clips appears in side bar under uploads simon. |
