Greetings fellow travellers!

My name is John Costa I am a wellington based Warr guitarist (see www.warrguitars.com) conventional guitarist and Mandolin player looking for work. This is one of two post I have put up on this site.

The Warr is a 'touch style guitar' that allows the player to play in a wider sonic range so I can perform bass and tenor parts at the same time, or just one or the other if the tune calls for it, it tends to sound its best (for me) in a role as a bass instrument using the tenor side to comp lines.

I am looking for work in any working group, I have a repertwa of several hundred pop tunes , and I have played virtually every category of music Rock, Jazz, Metal, Fusion, Folk.. professionally at one point or the other with the exception of high standard classical.

I can work in almost any role on my instrument and I am punctual and skilled , also am fine with packing up and hitting the road if you are currently touring.

I will post more vids of my playing on myspace, but there is some put up now there and on youtube, I am singing and playing guitar on the depressing folk stuff, probably best ignore that! On the jazz tunes I am playing conventional guitar in Reese Helmondallors quintet "Lounge Sweet" and the vid is of course the Warr guitar my main instrument.
